The last of Four on Four's quarterly releases for 2019 has arrived. This release is focused on functional security of the site and extends the already existing RBAC (Role Based Access Control) framework released as part of version 4.10 and fine-tunes it making permissions to various components of the site more granular.Access to individual pages can now be controlled whereby each page can now be turned on or off for a specific role.The concept of logical entities and actions against those entities has now been introduced where each entity has appropriate actions that can be performed on it. Those actions in turn are permissions that are assigned to the role in question. This allows the most granular level of control for the site giving the possibility for guest users to view data on pages but users with higher authorization, such as administrators, can also be granted additional page functions against those entities, such as add, edit or delete.
