We will be making changes to the Systematik channel to better align to the sound that we are looking for from that channel. The vision that I have as a dj for Systematik is that it's the home to some very powerful, energetic trance mixes. In order to achieve that, I will be making a couple of modifications to my mixes.
The first change will introduce energy management in the mixes. This will help keep the energy more consistent by zeroing in on the energy of each track and ensuring that the transition points in the mix are closest to those energy sections (for example after the breakdown). This prevents the lulls and hesitation that you can get from having the energy bands sitting too far apart.
The second change will introduce the consistent use of hooks at the beginning of the mix and a selection of tracks that carry more momentum as well as less breakdowns, vocals, and winding melodies.
We wanted to do this to clearly differentiate the sounds in this channel from a progressive trance style which is covered in the Bloom channel. As a result, I will be selecting tracks that have tighter melodies, more drive, and less emotion. As part of this change, Systematik mixes will now be featuring a regular selection of techno tracks in the tracklists as this genre is synonymous with the type of energy we are looking for.
These trance mixes will continue to be recorded at 132 beats per minute,
