Welcome to another set of some fabulous tracks for this week! This is Allison taking care of all your music needs.
This week we have pretty varied selection on the EDM front that spans bangers as well as some tracks that are reminiscent of the 1990's club scene.
We start with Dmak's release of So Yeah which is an absolute must for any EDM crate. This is a release from 2016 but was included in the recent 22nd edition of the compilation by LW Recordings. called Sets & Reps
A very industrial track that very much follows the mainstage patters with its notorious shots and stabs. An energy builder for sure that will sound fantastic in the club.
Not far from there, Pink Cat Empire comes in with the re-work of Vikky. Another solid selection that can be brought in at peak hour for any mainstage set. This one gets deep into an extensive section of synthesizer melody before returing to its banger arpeggiated rhythym style.
A couple more tracks to highlight which bring us back to the era of 1990 dance music.
Starting with Brazilian producer, Edson Pride whose been producing since 2007. With it's vocals on 'you turn me on' reminscent of Anne Shine in 'Take Me Higher' and complemented with bass lines, build ups and synth break downs of an EDM track, this one has a lot of personality.
I included this last track by Matteo Pellini because it's tagged by Beatport as a mainstage track but with its heavy euro-pop influence it sounds more like something belonging in Eiffel 65's Europop. When you put the lyrics aside, this melody is very catchy and has potential for a lot of instrumental remixes.
You can listen to the playlist here.
That wraps it up for me. Enjoy the tunes and we'll see you on the next weekly track review!
