This is a mix that I wanted to dedicate to my good friend Joseph Spencer. Joe moved to Phoenix last year leaving what can only be referred to as a void in his circle of friends here in San Diego.

Joe and I have been good friends over the years and have a common passion on the dj front. I named this mix after his nickname that he gave to his pad where he lived, calling it the 'Baboon Branch'. He held many get-togethers there to enjoy house music amongst good friends, good food and all the while letting all us DJs do rotations on his decks. Incredible fun!

I really appreciate Joe's taste in house music and although this mix doesn't come close to his unique style and music selection, it's my way of representing him. With regards to style, I recognize that my selections on house music tend to be more bass heavy and clubbish which are unlike Joe's unique gift in picking out the best soulful house. We differed but always applauded each other's styles.

I hope that Joe is enjoying the Arizona vibe and bringing his style to the house music community in Phoenix.
