We've fixed a key issue which has been causing inconsistencies in our music library for the last few years. This issue has allowed for the overlaying of data whenever new tracks with duplicate names were added to our inventory. We certainly recognize that it's normal for tracks to sometimes have the same name, but it should only be allowed in a way that doesn't corrupt existing data in the process.
Moreover, the problem has extended to the fact that whenever new tracks were added with the same name as existing tracks, the new tracks would get incorrectly associated to the albums of those existing tracks, wiping out correct relationships in the process.
We've implemented a couple of controls to prevent this issue from recurring, including database changes and also restricting forms to only allow new, un-linked tracks to be selected when linking a new track to an album.
As part of that fix, many tracks (listed below) have now been manually corrected and associated to their correct albums.
