Legendary British rock & roll group The Godfathers were formed in 1985 by brothers Peter Coyne (vocals) & Chris Coyne (bass) from the ashes of their previous band The Sid Presley Experience. The Godfathers toured extensively & quickly earned a serious reputation for their electrifying brand of primal rock & roll & incendiary live shows around the World. Forming a recording partnership with famed producer Vic Maile The Godfathers released 4 critically acclaimed, smash hit independent singles on their own Corporate Image label ('Lonely Man', 'This Damn Nation', 'I Want Everything' & 'Love Is Dead') which alongside a brutal cover of Lennon's 'Cold Turkey' were compiled into their seminal debut album release 'Hit By Hit' in '86. The London band then signed a Worldwide deal with Sony/Epic records in '87. The Godfathers unleashed the storming rocker 'Birth School Work Death' as their debut single on Epic Records in late '87 & scored a US Billboard top 40 hit after massive college radio airplay & heavy MTV rotation. The Godfathers' mob inspired image, raw lyrics & guitar-driven, edgy Rock'&'Roll sound was in direct contrast to the bland, synthesized pop that mainly dominated the mainstream charts at that time & foreshadowed the Brit-Pop/Rock resurgence of the early 1990′s. 1989′s album 'More Songs About Love And Hate' (featuring the American college radio smash single 'She Gives Me Love' and live favourite 'Walking Talking Johnny Cash Blues') was followed by the death of producer Vic Maile & the departure of guitarist Kris Dollimore, who was replaced on guitar by Chris Burrows for the 'Unreal World' album (which included the American radio hit single 'Unreal World' & a searing cover of The Creation's psychedelic classic 'How Does It Feel To Feel') in 1991. A provocatively titled live Godfathers' album 'Dope, Rock & Roll & Fucking In The Streets' was issued in 1992 on the band's own Corporate Image label (scoring 20 out of 20 in an NME review!!) & they toured the globe constantly. With a new line-up The Godfathers released 2 further albums on Intercord Records, a self-titled album in '93 (also known as 'The Orange album' because of it's distinctive cover art) & 'Afterlife' in '95, before the group finally imploded in 2001. In 2008 The Godfathers reformed their original line-up to promote a vastly expanded 2CD version of their classic debut album 'Hit By Hit' & performed a select amount of British, European & American dates & festivals together for the first time in nearly 20 years. These included the highly successful revival of their traditional Saint Valentine's Day Massacre concerts with knockout, triumphant performances at The Forum in London in February '08 & Chicago's Metro in February '09. Former Sid Presley Experience guitarist Del Bartle replaced Dollimore in March '09 & drummer Dave Twigg completed the band's line-up, joining in October 2012. The Godfathers celebrated their landmark 25th anniversary with the release of a live DVD/CD compilation entitled 'The Godfathers - Shot Live At The 100 Club', released November 2010. This live collection captured The Godfathers at their raw, rocking best & featured the band playing their favourite Godfathers/Sid Presley Experience numbers to a red-hot, extremely appreciative sold-out audience. The Godfathers influence has grown steadily in recent years with American stadium rockers Local H & Spoon releasing cover versions of Godfathers' classics 'Birth School Work Death' & 'This Damn Nation' & The Mars Volta citing the band's trademark primal rock & roll sound as a major influence on their recently released 'Noctourniquet' album. The Godfathers explode into action in 2013 with the much-anticipated release of a brand new album 'JUKEBOX FURY' - their first full-length studio release since '95 - & a 22 date March UK tour with punk icons The Stranglers. The Greyboy Allstars are a jazz band who released their fourth album, Inland Emperor, in 2013.
The band came together in 1994, when the individual members were asked to perform at a record release party for the landmark acid jazz and club staple “Freestylin” by San Diego’s DJ Greyboy, who was famous for spinning `70s soul and funk. They enjoyed playing together that they decided to continue on as a band. The Greyboy Allstars starting playing weekly at San Diego’s now defunct Green Circle, weekends at San Francisco’s Elbo Room and various clubs throughout Europe. By playing danceable boogaloo music within the soul jazz genre, they became a national and international phenomenon.
The lineup of the band remains nearly the same, with Karl Denson on horns and vocals, Robert Walter on keyboards, Elgin Park (aka Michael Andrews) on guitars and vocals, and Chris Stillwell on bass. Original drummer Zak Najor was replaced by Aaron Redfield, an old friend of the band and frequent collaborator. While DJ Greyboy is no longer a member of the band, he remains a central figure in their artistic output, having introduced the band to many of the records that inspire their sound, produced their first album and appeared on 2007′s What Happened to Television?
Individual members of the group have gone to score film and television shows, work with platinum artists and bands both on the road and in the studio, and head their own solo projects.
For Inland Emperor, they worked out the arrangements during the recording, which took place live over just a few sessions at Elgin Park’s studio in Glendale, CA. Denson says of this accelerated pace of creation, “We do in one week would take me two months to do in any other situation.” Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Mickey Petralia (Beck, Peaches, Eels, Flight of the Conchords) mixed the tracks.

The Killers are an American rock band that was formed in 2001, by Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards) and Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals). Mark Stoermer (bass, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion) would complete the current line-up of the band in 2002. The name The Killers is derived from a logo on the bass drum of a fictitious band portrayed in the music video for the New Order song "Crystal".
The group has released three studio albums, Hot Fuss (2004), Sam's Town (2006) and Day & Age (2008) with a fourth entitled Battle Born, scheduled for release on September 18, 2012. They have also released one compilation album, Sawdust (2007) and one live album and DVD titled Live from the Royal Albert Hall (2009). A production and DJ duo who specialize in melodic, carefree dance music that draws from soul, funk, disco, rap, and pop, the Knocks were formed by James "JPatt" Patterson and Ben "DJ B-Roc" Ruttner. Patterson and Ruttner met at New York City's New School and shared an apartment, where they set up small recording studios in their bedrooms. Early success as remixers, however, enabled them to build their own studio in Manhattan. During 2008 and 2009, Knocks remixes surfaced for Katy Perry ("I Kissed a Girl"), Britney Spears ("3"), Chris Brown ("Beautiful People"), and PRGz ("Soul Glo"). The following year, the duo released their first singles, the sunny "Dancing with the DJ" and the whistling "Make It Better." Over the course of the next few years, the duo's profile was magnified by additional remixes for Tegan and Sara ("Closer"), the 1975 ("Girls"), and Dragonette ("Let It Go"), among others. They also collaborated with Fred Falke for the Kitsuné Music release "Geronimo," as well as Treasure Fingers for "DYWT," released on Fool's Gold Clubhouse. In 2014, signed to Big Beat, they slowed it down a bit for "Classic," one of their funkier and more disco-indebted singles, featuring Powers. Debut album Endisco was slated for release later that same year.

Stephen Fasano, better known by his stage name The Magician, is a Belgian DJ and record producer from Namur, Wallonia, Belgium. He is best known for his 2014 single "Sunlight", which peaked at number 7 in both Belgium and the United Kingdom as well as his remixes for Lykke Li "I Follow Rivers" and Clean Bandit "Rather Be". His monthly mix tapes called "Magic Tape" feature new dance music from an array of genres. He is known for doing magic tricks while performing.
He was a member of music duo Aeroplane with Vito de Luca since 2007. In 2010, Fasano announced that he was leaving the duo to start his own solo project. de Luca continues to use the name Aeroplane.
In 2011 he released his debut EP Twist on the hip French label Kitsuné in collaboration with Yuksek as Peter and The Magician. In October 2011 he released his debut single "I Don't Know What to Do" featuring Jeppe Laursen on Kitsuné. In 2012 he released the single "Memory" again with Yuksek as Peter and The Magician on Kitsuné. In September 2013 he released the single "When the Night Is Over", and also later released the single "On My Brain" on Party Fine Music.
In July 2014 he released the single "Sunlight" featuring vocals from Years & Years; the song peaked at number 7 in Belgium. The song was released in the United Kingdom on 28 September 2014. The Magician performed "Sunlight" along with Years & Years at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards in Glasgow, Scotland as part of the Digital Show which was held at the O2 Academy Glasgow.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones (informally referred to as The Bosstones) are an American ska-core band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1983. Since the band's inception, lead vocalist Dicky Barrett, bassist Joe Gittleman, tenor saxophonist Tim "Johnny Vegas" Burton and dancer ("Bosstone") Ben Carr have remained constant members. The line-up also includes drummer Joe Sirois, saxophonist Kevin Lenear, guitarist Lawrence Katz and trombonist Chris Rhodes.
The Bosstones are often credited as one of the progenitors of the genre of ska punk and the creators of its sub-genre ska-core, a form of music which mixes elements of ska with punk rock and hardcore. Since the release of their 1989 debut Devil's Night Out, the band toured and recorded extensively throughout the 1990s, becoming a key figure in the development of the American third wave ska scene and one of the first bands to popularize the genre in the musical mainstream, reaching their commercial peak with their platinum-selling 1997 album Let's Face It and its hit single "The Impression That I Get". The band had released seven studio albums, three EPs and a live album by the time they announced a hiatus in December 2003. In 2007, the Bosstones reunited to resume recording and touring.

The Offspring is an American punk rock band from Orange County, California, formed in 1984. They are widely credited, alongside fellow California pop punk bands Sublime, Green Day, Bad Religion, and Rancid, with popularizing and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States in the 1990s. Known as Manic Subsidal until 1986, the band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dexter Holland, lead guitarist Noodles, bassist Greg K. and drummer Pete Parada. Parada replaced former drummer Adam "Atom" Willard in 2007, during the recording of the band's eighth studio album, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace, and has been a member of the band since.
The band's first three albums for the independent record labels Nemesis and Epitaph earned them a following. Their 1994 third studio album Smash became a breakout success and eventually sold over 12 million copies worldwide, setting a record for most albums sold on an independent label. The critical praise given to Smash garnered attention from labels, including Columbia Records, with whom The Offspring would sign in 1996. Their first album for Columbia, Ixnay on the Hombre was released in 1997 and was well received by critics. The Offspring continued to achieve success with their three follow-up albums, Americana (1998), Conspiracy of One (2000) and Splinter (2003), reaching multi-platinum, platinum and gold status respectively. Splinter was followed five years later by Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace (2008), which was also successful, due to the album's second single "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" reaching number one on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart for 11 weeks and becoming their only gold single in America to date. Their latest studio album, Days Go By, was released on June 26, 2012.
The Offspring has sold over 36 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best-selling punk rock acts of all time, and many of their albums have sold over a million units.

The Ones created quite a stir in New York City during the early 2000s with its "Flawless" single. The trio of vocalists -- Paul Alexander, JoJo Americo, and Nashom -- met each other while working at the Greenwich Village boutique Patricia Field. They found they had much in common, most notably an interest in New York's club and fashion underground. A Touch of Class produced the Ones' breakthrough single, "Flawless," and Strictly Rhythm released the single, originally released by A Touch of Class Recordings, with several remixes.

The Outfield is an English pop rock/power pop power trio based in London, UK. The Outfield are unusual for a British band in that they enjoyed commercial success in the U.S., but never enjoyed a similar success in their homeland. They began recording during the mid-1980s, and they released their first album, Play Deep, in 1985 through Columbia Records. The album reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200 list and then reached triple platinum in America. Their single "Your Love" reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as No. 7 on the Mainstream Rock chart, and it became their signature song. It went on to be featured in a number of 80s-themed compilation albums, and over 1,000 covers and remixes by other artists have been released physically and/or online. The other singles "Say It Isn't So" and "Everytime You Cry" also made it into the top 20 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
The band continued to record and tour through the 1980s and then into the early 1990s. While their second album, Bangin', hit the top 20 on the Billboard 200 list had both singles hit the Top 40 Mainstream Rock chart, the group began losing their popular audience by their third album, Voices of Babylon, in 1989. Drummer Alan Jackman left and, now as a duo, they recorded Diamond Days in 1991. After the disappointing response to their 1992 album Rockeye, which represented a shift towards progressive rock and arena rock, the group essentially disbanded in the 90s. They resumed touring in 1998, and thereafter released two live albums via their website including a new studio album, Any Time Now, released by Sidewinder Records in March 2006. In 2009, original drummer Alan Jackman announced he was returning to The Outfield and the band would be recording a new album. The band's latest album, Replay, was released on June 28, 2011 and constituted a comeback to their traditional pop rock sound which has produced two No. 1 regional chart hits in "California Sun" and "A Long, Long Time Ago".

The Pointer Sisters are an American R&B recording girl group from Oakland, California that achieved mainstream success during the 1970s and 1980s. Spanning over three decades, their repertoire has included such diverse genres as pop, disco, jazz, electronic music, bebop, blues, soul, funk, dance, country and rock. The Pointer Sisters were inducted onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The group had its early origins when sisters June and Bonnie Pointer began performing in clubs in 1969 as "Pointers, a Pair". The line-up grew to a trio when sister Anita Pointer joined them. They scored a record deal with Atlantic Records and released several unsuccessful singles. The trio grew to a quartet when sister Ruth joined in December 1972. They then signed with Blue Thumb Records, recorded their debut album, and began seeing more success. The group achieved its greatest commercial success as a trio during the 1980s consisting of the line-up of June, Ruth, and Anita. Bonnie had left the group in 1978 to commence a solo career with only modest success.
